In the Cloud Automation Platform environment, user management is linked to access control. A user's level of access within Cloud Automation Platform applications is regulated jointly by a persona and membership in one or more user groups.
The persona assigned to a user account determines the user experience. For each person who logs on to Cloud Automation Platform, the options in the left pane and the windows that display are regulated by the persona, which determines the content that a user can view.
The groups to which a user is assigned define the rights and privileges that their members can exercise over objects (such as demos in the Demo Solution or classes in Training Solution) or over other users. During the process of their creation, user accounts are assigned a persona and, in most cases, placed within one or more user groups.
User accounts and groups belong to organizations. Organizations control the access to resources available to users via quotas. Quotas restrict an organization's peak usage of resources.
