Accessing a Remote Desktop Session

To access a virtual machine for an active reservation, perform the following steps:

  1. In the left pane, click Sessions.

In the right pane, the table of existing sessions appears.

  1. To see only your sessions, select My Sessions from the Ownership list at the top of the table. To see all reservations for which you have view privileges, select All Sessions from the list.
  2. Verify that the session state is Available. If not, start the session.
  3. Click the name of the reservation containing the VM that you want to access.

The Session Details page appears.

  1. In the Servers area, click the Remote Access icon () for the server and select the type of remote access (Citrix, Console, RDP, Shadowing, or VNC).

Note: If you are using remote access and you are prompted for an ActiveX control, download the control and install it. For VMware platforms you might need to launch the VMware UI to install the ActiveX control. For ESX, see  Installing VMWare Infrastructure Client.

The remote computer's desktop appears.
